“It’s easy to describe Niall’s illustrations as disturbing and that alone, but in reality they have a subtlety that much design work lacks. Nothing is heavy handed, his repeated uses of imagery and text creates a sprawling world, with each piece becoming another line in the story. As well as this, the characters he produces have a humanity to them despite their unearthly aspects, they suggest at tensions and motivations in exciting and detailed ways.”
